Background
I have been a photographer for nearly twenty year, shooting mainly people, and products. I started in photography by assisting a wide range of photographers at Chalk Farm Hire studios in London. From there I went on to Assist Tony McGee, still one of this countries leading advertising and fashion photographers. After a brief spell as a freelance assistant, I worked for Mike Owen, another highly regarded photographer, shooting fashion and for the music industry. Working with Mike gave me the opportunity to travel and shoot in many different countries including Mauritius, Antigua and the states.
I now have a studio in Harlow, just north of London, where I am based, although around 80% of my work is location. I shoot mainly for large publishing companies in the UK, as well as product photography for brochures and websites. My studio has lots of natural daylight and is very easy to access and park. It is about 1500sqft with high ceilings and a cove. There is also a kitchen, changing room and make up area. I use Hasselblad cameras with a Phase one digital back for most of my work, although I do use some 35mm DSLR equipment and even a 5”x4” plate camera for special occasions.
When I am not shooting for clients, I like to photograph landscapes, some of which are in the personal gallery on this site.
